The Princeton Review has for the first time named the University of Tampa to its Mental Health Services Honor Roll for 2027. The University of one of 76 schools nationwide that made the honor roll for “exceptional dedication and commitment to their students’ mental health and well-being,” according to The Princeton Review, which recognizes schools based on survey data and launched the report card project in 2023.

Schools named to the report card broadly have a campus quality of life that promotes well-being, robust staff and faculty support through its policies, and programs that empower students to address their own mental health through education programs and peer-to-peer offerings. UTampa’s Wellness Services includes numerous wellness resources, including peer wellness counselors, and hosts events and several programs, like student-led wellness groups, that are active on campus.

This recognizes institutions for excellence in digital prevention, student well-being and campus climate, based on high completion rates of programming on alcohol, cannabis, prescription drug misuse and sexual assault prevention.
